I can't believe my little man is turning TWO!! Definitely the best two years there's ever been! We've been bouncing around a lot of different ideas for his birthday, but we've settled on what would be easiest/cheapest. We're gonna have his birthday party at the church where we had his baby shower. There's a big gym out there for all the kids to run in and a playground outside. I'm hoping for some good weather so they can go play outside. We're just gonna have cupcakes and snacks. And I'm doing no decorating. Parent of the year award. Who has time for all that? I definitely don't live on Pinterest.
In other news, his potty training is going really well. That's not without the occasional accident, but I'll take it. We cancelled our Honest Bundle subscription and ordered some pull-ups. He only wears a diaper at night, so pull-ups seemed easier for that. He's still sleeping with us so I'm gonna wait to work on night-time stuff until he's in his own room. One battle at a time, haha.
It's crazy how they change so quickly. He's definitely head strong. He get's that honestly, haha. His appetite has been horrible lately. I'm at a loss for what to do. He does not want to eat, ever. Unless it's fruit snacks, bread, or yogurt. I keep trying different things with no success. I keep offering things, even though I know he won't eat them. It's just so frustrating. His speech is also a little frustrating. It's just like he was with walking. I knew he could walk about a month and a half before he did. When he finally did start walking, he had it mastered. There was never a period where he took one step, then maybe two or three. He just instantly started walking. The same thing is happening with his speech. He will say a word for a week and then never say it again. So I'm hoping that when he does start talking it will be in full sentences or something. He's perfect just the way he is, though. Wouldn't trade him for the world :)
We're gearing up for Easter and the little man's second birthday...so cheers to that!
