Been a sad week.  Not sure why things happen, but they do.  Definitely makes me extra thankful for Jackson and all of his awesome-ness.

BIG weekend!!!

I'm pretty sure this past weekend was the biggest weekend of my life, aside from having Jackson (which wasn't on a weekend).  Jackson turned one on Friday(5/3)!  Yay, my baby is one and we have survived the first year.  I graduated from Eastern Illinois University on Saturday (5/4) with a Bachelor's degree.  Jackson's first birthday party was on Sunday (5/5), as well as a proposal!  Darrin proposed at Jackson's birthday party...in front of everyone, haha.  It was very sweet and I cried.  I am not one to cry.  He asked for my uncles' permission, which I thought was awesome.  Successful weekend!

We had Jackson's 12 month well-baby today.  Poor guy.  He had four shots and a lead screening.  He was pissed about it.  He's almost 31 inches (75%) and 21.5 pounds (34%).  His head size is still way off the charts, haha.  He's hitting all the milestones like he's supposed to, so that's good.  I still say he's the best kid around (and cutest).  He walks all over the place, smiles, laughs, babbles, and snuggles.

Our next goal is to start planning this wedding......
