There's hair everywhere...

Literally.  There is hair everywhere.  I'm losing hair by the handful!  Very glamorous.  My hair is really thick, so I have a lot to lose.  Between Polka Dot and me, there are TWO shedding beasts in the house.  Poor Jackson always ends up with some in his mouth...so we're always on hair patrol around here.  They need to invent a hair vacuum that just sucks all the hair that you're gonna lose out.

We just got our new laptop today...yay!!  It's really gonna help out around here.  Darrin can take a laptop to class to work on his thesis, which will be awesome.  We also got Poke a new toy.  She was like a new dog...she loved it!

We survived.

Jackson and I have officially survived our first week of school.  BUT I did get out early both days :)  I think the whole thing is harder on me, haha.  He doesn't seemed phased.  Darrin makes sure to send me pictures, so that helps a lot.  I'm convinced I'll miss something important while I'm gone :(

Side note:  Jackson's smile is the greatest!  The kid doesn't have an in between smile.  Either he doesn't smile at all or he gives the biggest smile ever.  His big open-mouthed grin is the absolute best!

Or in my case....good luck leaving Jackson tonight.  So not ready for school to start.  But definitely not ready to leave him. I know, I know...it's only a total of 4.5 hours, but that's the longest ever.  And I'm a drama momma or something.  Anyway, here are some pictures Lily took yesterday at Aunt Donna's 50th wedding anniversary party.

Is there ever enough time?

I'm not sure that there's ever enough time for anything.  I think my 'to-do' list gets longer by the day.  The days definitely don't get any longer, though.  Darrin and I did get our books picked up yesterday...so I can cross that off.  Everything is good for classes, too.  Besides the fact that I have to leave Jackson every Monday and Wednesday night.  I'm not sure that I can handle all that.  The longest I've been away from him is 2.5 hours....once.  Usually it's just running somewhere and coming back.

I'm all registered for the Glow Run 5k in October.  One more thing checked off my list!  It's gonna be one busy day.  That's the same day at the Scarecrow Daze parade that mom wants to walk Jax in.  Then we gotta go to the run, which is in St. Louis.  It should be really fun, though!  Rave party!!

Zach had surgery last week, but is feeling better now.  Thank god...cuz I couldn't be away from Polka Dot much longer.  I let him keep her, because she made him feel better :)  She's home now, though.

This is his latest thing.  He has to hold onto one foot, while doing the power fist with the other....it's pretty serious around here.  Power to the people!

Crazy.

I swear....I'm losing my mind!  I've always been good with numbers and dates, but I'm losing my skills...not good.  Never in my life have I missed appointments....but last month I did.  I always forget the things I have going on.  I lose things.  I forget what side I last fed Jackson on (not pleasant when you're breastfeeding).  I feel like I live in a constant state of haze, haha.  Is this what they call mommy brain?

3 months (lots of pictures)

Baby boy is 3 months old today and I'm not sure where the last 3 months have gone.  He's growing and changing so much.  He smiles all the time (if he's at home), he's grabbing at things, he's holding his neck up so high during tummy time, he almost rolled over (his arm gets in the way), he's starting to babble, etc. etc.  He slept through the night 5 nights in a row, but hasn't done it since.  He was just messin' with me!  He's such a sweet boy.  He loves to snuggle :)  He is now 15 lbs. 7 oz.  About 25 in. long.  Grandma Heis says he's the smartest most handsomest boy there is!  I think she's right :)
