Big sister--little brother

I've decided that Baby G is going to have the best big sister ever!  Polka Dot is the best dog anyone could ever have.  How could you deny that precious face?

Darrin has clearly fell in love.  I tell him all the time he's under the Polka-spell.

She's also the biggest princess I've ever met.  Seriously, what dog licks out of blizzard cups like that?  We've decided that she could be part cat.  She has the temperament of a cat, anyway.  She sits on the top of the couch, like it's her perch.  She constantly stares out the window.  She isn't trusting, like most dogs.  She definitely makes you earn her trust and she'll let you know when she's mad at you.  When Darrin has cereal in the morning, Polka Dot has to drink his milk when he's finished.  What other dog does that?!  I'd like to think she's PERFECT :)

I just know she'll be the best big sister....

Things little man loves already:
When Daddy comes home
Cuddling with Polka Dot :)
The moment I lay down in bed and everything is calm
Being warm

Things little man doesn't love:
Anything lying across him
Chaos
Me bending over

He's really good at letting me know instantly when he likes or dislikes something.  He isn't even here yet and already has quite the mind of his own!  I'm ready for him to get here :)  It's exciting to think about how he may be or the things he may do.

25 week belly

Now don't judge me by the terrible quality of these pictures.  I had Darrin take the first one, but I told him to stop because I couldn't stop laughing at him.  I decided to try to do it myself, but the only mirror I have that would work is super oxidized and old.  Anyway, I finally took some and here they are!  Ignore Darrin's clothes, as well :)

25 weeks

I'm 25 weeks today!  Been a pretty normal week.  I'm still slacking in the picture department.  I've been babysitting a lot this week...so I've basically had kids from when I wake up until when I go to bed.  That makes it very easy for me to stay in sweatpants all day and not do anything with myself!  Darrin also has my camera with him right now, cuz I never went down to the car to get it!  I know...excuses, excuses!  I'll make him take a picture tomorrow when I get up and around and post it.

How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: still not sure, my next appointment isn’t until Feb. 9th, so I’ll find out then…
Maternity clothes? Still haven’t bought any, but I’ve pretty much been in sweat pants every single day this week!
Stretch marks? Nope, still no stretch marks :)
Sleep: For the most part, I sleep fine.  I had horrible heartburn the other night and got NO sleep….it was AWFUL!
Best moment this week: This week has been a lot like last week…so nothing super exciting has happened.  We should be mailing out invitations for the shower this week, though.  That’s exciting!  I also drank my first glass of chocolate milk last night :/ That’s definitely not the best moment for me (I hate milk!!), but I’m sure Baby G appreciated the effort!
Miss Anything? Still missin’ those old comfy clothes that no longer fit comfortably!  I also miss the ability to drink as much soda as I want to!
Movement: Yeah, he’s still kickin’ away like usual.  He’s very elusive when it comes to anyone else, though.  Darrin is the only one who has felt or seen him move, and very rarely does he even get that.  Only moves for momma:)
Food cravings: I’d say it’s Girl Scout Cookies this week, but I’d be lying if I said that was a pregnancy thing…  I can’t get enough of those carmel delites, whether I’m pregnant or not!  I’ve also been eating a lot of puppy chow…here’s to hoping I won’t gain a thousand pounds by my next appointment!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week!
Have you started to show yet: Yeah, but I haven’t been wearing any tight fitting clothes this week so it doesn’t look as big as I “think” it is.
Gender: I’m hoping it’s still a boy…haha
Labor Signs: Nope, everything is goin’ good.  Although I’m ready to meet him, I think I’ll let him stay in there for awhile.
Belly Button in or out? Still in
Happy or Moody most of the time: I’d still stick with happy.  Ready for life to calm down, but does that really happen for anyone?
Looking forward to: Next week, haha.  That means I’m one week closer!  I’m looking forward to the shower, too.  I’m ready to see some family that I haven’t seen in awhile, especially those adorable “cousin/nephews” of mine.  (They are really cousins, but the age difference makes them feel like nephews)

Hope everyone has a great week!

24 weeks :)

I'm 24 weeks and a few days today.  I was going to post a picture, but I'm too lazy to go get my camera :)  I'll try to post one when I charge it.  I found this little worksheet type thing you fill out for each week...so here goes!!

How far along? 24 weeks and a few days
Total weight gain/loss: not sure this week...I only get weighed at my appointments.  I guess I should probably get a scale for home, huh?  I had gained around 8 lbs. at my last appointment...
Maternity clothes? None yet, although I should probably start getting some.  I'm not having a hard time fitting in shirts....but it's a different story when it comes to pants.  I still have one pair of regular jeans I can fit in..buttoned and comfortably :)  I need a belly band!  I'm putting off buying any.....
Stretch marks? Nope, and I'm hoping I never do!!
Sleep: I sleep fine, but usually get up once (sometimes twice) to pee!
Best moment this week: I've been feeling him move for quite awhile now, but only I had seen him move from just staring at my stomach.  Darrin finally got to just see him move, instead of just feeling it!  We're also starting to get closer to deciding on a name, finally!
Miss Anything? my old jeans :( and the ability to bend over comfortably...
Movement: Yup, he moves around, but not constantly or anything.  He seems to move around more during the afternoon and as soon as I lay down to go to bed.
Food cravings: Haven't really had any "cravings" at any point during pregnancy.  I've always loved potatoes in pretty much any form, so I know that isn't a pregnancy thing!  I guess I drink a lot more lemonade...
Anything making you queasy or sick: At first, doing the dishes made me sick.  I had morning sickness, too.  I don't have any of that anymore and I couldn't be happier about it!  I can't say anything really makes me feel queasy or sick at this point.
Have you started to show yet: Yup, finally a little bit
Gender: It's a boy!!
Labor Signs: No, not that I'm aware of, haha
Belly Button in or out? Stilly an inny right now
Happy or Moody most of the time: I'd say happy most of the time
Looking forward to: Getting to meet Baby G, of course!  All I can say is brace yourself, because a little me or Darrin is comin'! HA

Let's see how long I can keep up with this blog thing....
